On March 15, 2016, Vote FOR Issue 23 to Protect Health and Human Services

Issue 23

On March 15, 2016, The Cuyahoga County Executive and Council are asking voters to approve a renewal of the $4.8 million Health and Human Services funding.  Issue 23 protects services to citizens throughout the County, including children, seniors, and families who are in crisis.  Last year, over 200,000 families used a health and human services program.

Health and Human Service levy funds support a wide range of services throughout Cuyahoga County including emergency services, home health care to senior citizens living independently, counseling and treatment programs, and crisis services for those most vulnerable in our community.  Some of the funds generated through this levy support the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board, which in turn directs dollars to behavioral health services provided by The Free Clinic and other local agencies.

Issue 23 in NOT a tax increase; rather, it is a renewal and will not cost taxpayers any more.

Early balloting has already begun at the Board of Elections, 2925 Euclid Avenue (see voting hours below).  Cast your ballot today for a healthier future.
